We always wanted to be able to offer the best VW Campers we could, so for us 'ideally' that meant just one word…..Westfalia.
These German-designed and built campers are renowned for their clever layouts and superb build quality. In fact, back in the '60s and ‘70s, Westfalia conversions were the only ones you could order direct from your local Volkswagen dealer. Top stuff!
We’ve also made sure our campers are in tiptop condition by buying the very best we can find. So no issues for us to deal with, and decent power output from professionally maintained engines for you. Great news!
This does mean, of course, that some are Left Hand Drive. However, this is not really an issue because:
- Campers are a bit odd to drive anyway – you’re sitting on top of the front wheels for a start!
- You won’t be doing a whole load of overtaking - you may not have heard, but they’re not that fast (and you're on 'holiday' )
Anyhow, we’ll give you all the instruction you need, including a brief test drive if you want to practice before hitting the open road. - From our fleet of 8 Campers, 5 are left handers, the remaining 3 being right handers (Rosie - Lilly & Bruce)
We have just purchased another 'Westie' and have found a right hand drive model - She's called 'Lilly' and has a traditional Westie interior with a full width downstairs 'double' Lilly is painted in a pretty Pale Blue & Cream
All of this Westfalia stuff is true, but having seen some other fantastic Campers, we've now included 2 Australian Vans to the fleet: 'Rosie & Bruce' Being ex-Aussie's, they are both right hand drive models and both have brand new custom interior's
Please note. . . ALL our Campers have 'pop top' roof's - so plenty of headroom whilst using the camper - plus additional room 'upstairs' for the larger family or group
Our vans come equipped with everything you’ll need for a fantastic holiday, including:
- "Drive away" awning with inner tent
- Extra camp beds if you need them
- 240V mains power with a looooong hook-up lead
- 2 way fridge (Gas/240v)
- Free standing or integrated 2 burner hob and grill
- Sink with onboard water (sadly 'cold' only!)
- Internal and outdoor table and chairs
- Cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery
- Electric heater (for when you're 'hooked up' on the campsite)
- Electric kettle - even some toasters (please ask)
- 2 bottles of Campingaz
- Radio/CD player (except Dylan, bring a harmonica!)
- Interior lights
